POMEGRANATE & PISTACIO GIN

Inspired by my home from home; Andalucia in southern Spain and especially the majestic little city of Granada, where I have a home just outside in the country. 

El Clasico is what the Spanish call the big game between Barcelona vs Real Madrid. A passionate game for sure.
And the Spanish people in general are full of passion. 

Well this gin is a passion of mine. Using a dry backbone of juniper, coriander and angelica root. It has spice from pink peppercorns, floral notes from rosehips, citrus from Seville oranges and a touch of sweetness from licorice, balanced by aromatic herbs that add some welcome bitterness.

But it is the addition of pomegranate (the actually word for pomegranate in Spanish is Granada) and pistachio that give the gin a luxurious, slightly bitter, slightly sweet, slightly creamy aroma and taste.
And the red colour from the pomegranate, just adds to that overall passion. 

Is it a Clasico? I’ll let you be the judge.
